Re: Fighter Job Tree
Oh...
That's not really multi-classing then. Not by my definition, anyway.
Hmm... well, I hope there IS a wipe between CBT and OBT... at least a partial one... or that we can all get SKILL RESETS and stuff... I'm using CBT to test builds as well as everything else. It would be useful to have skill resets handed out, because then we could learn all of the skills of one class, then re-job and test the skills of another job... etc.

Here's a chart that I was able to rip off a blog.
Forgive the artifacts, I had to SS it and then crop it in MS Paint

Re: Fighter Job Tree
So if I'm to become a full tank build, it's better to go with elves?
Isn't it only a few Vit difference to start with? Cuz I'd rather have my character as a human but I'd want a tanker instead of a dd

Re: Fighter Job Tree
I totally just realized my desired build is Fighter->Warrior->Mercenary->Rune Knight, which is impossible. Thankfully the 7 skills I really wanted from Mercenary DO show up in the Rune Knight options, but as an Elf, now I must wait 25 levels without getting any skills. @_@
.... T_T
EDIT: So apparently the extra 5 levels of Axe Mastery and Axe Mortality only are available in Mercenary... they are not available to elves at all! *blinks*
And the build I really want now is
Fighter->Warrior->Mercenary->Rune Knight->Magnus
Because apparently Magnus is the only one with the duel-wield ability.
Why is it that the third tier jobs, only Humans get Mercenary? There's no "only Elves" job for third-tier. This makes me sad. (Especially since more levels of Risk Taker, Rage, Warrior Form, and the two axe skills only appear in this job!)
I don't even want freaking Bloody Sky! Please make Mercenary a "both" class?!

Re: Fighter Job Tree
Is Fighter > Warrior > Infantryman > Phalanx > Magnus any good for a Pure Vit Elf? Or should I just go for Guard instead of Warrior?
Also, which skills for all Fighter Classes use Magic Damage instead of Physical Damage?

I would go Guard over Warrior simply because the two main things you get from Warrior are Risk Taker and Warrior form and they just don't seem worth giving up life and defense to me.

Holy Strike + Holy Avenger (which are Infantryman/Phalanx skills), and Shock Wave + Dark Illusion + Thundering Death (which are Crusader skills). Those are the ones that come to mind.

Thanks! But if You go Warrior > Infantryman won't you still get the lost benefits from Guard? Like if You go guard You can pump in 5 levels of Enhanced HP but if You skip Guard and went for Warrior > Infantry, Will you get 10 levels on Enhanced HP or 15?
Ah and which one should I choose to go Guard or Warrior from the Job Master in Alker Harbor? First Choice or Second?

Re: Fighter Job Tree
You wouldn't lose any skills but there are passive bonuses associated with each class. The bonuses "build" meaning the more you have the larger the increase (Like for example the first increase might only be 1% but the second would be 3% the third 6% and the fourth 10%). The guard's bonuses go into defense and max hp (same as Infantry and most of the other "tank" classes) so if you lose guard you lose a fair part of those bonuses. Something to consider at least before branching off into other classes for skills.
As for your other question, I'm not sure what you mean.

Thanks again for the fast reply! I'll go guard then.
What I mean on the other question is which one do I choose on these 2 options for the guard quest?
