Re: DEX Dagger Rogue Skill guide
hi. i started playing today and i chose an pure dex elf rogue with a dagger.
i didnt know that the race will affect my job choice.. till now.. and im already lvl20.
i wont be able to pick assassin /thief like i wanted.
is there a bright future for my rogue after all? or does a pure dex dagger rogue has to be human in order to pwn ?

Re: DEX Dagger Rogue Skill guide
Here's a few suggestions that come to mind at a first glance as to how to make the guide even better:
1) Add the main pro's and con's to each of the classes.
2) Leave the "DEX" part out from the guide name, since the discussion of different class builds has nothing to do with ones stat build and you're not really discussing that either. Add a section that briefly discusses the differences of the most common stat builds (str, dex, str/dex str/vit dex/vit hybrids) if you want.
4) Add a section where you analyze / discuss at least 2-3 different builds, discuss their strenghts, weaknesses compared to the other builds and their potential skill builds.
3) Leave the "what skills to get" discussion to the build section, because depending on the final build, you may or may not get certain skills.
Elf rogues can get powerful party buffs, so you may wanna consider including either rune walker or temper master in your final build.
Other than that, there's many ways of "pwn"'ing in this game, a human rogue may "pwn" better than the elf counterpart when alone, but the elf will certainly "pwn" more when in a party with other physical classes.

Thanks for the suggestions gcell, they will be taken into consideration and incorporated with the guide shortly ^^

I really like this guide.
My only suggestion is that you can add a weapons/armor section. That is something that really isn't covered here. All the other guides are skill/stat guides but I haven't seen one to go over which armor/weapons you should be aiming to get according to different builds.

Hmm true I havn't seen much going over what equips are ideal. Weapon wise just self constructing always seems to be a good option but those rare sets are nice for armor. I'll add in an equips section in a bit ^^

Re: Dagger Rogue Skill Guide
Some of the rare sets seem nice, but I think I like the raw stats on a self made set. Plus it is cheap so you can afford to upgrade it or just focus more on your weapon. I put more value in the upgrades/stats than the set buffs on blue gear.
Might want to include monster drops or 'how to' for the weapon stuff. Wouldn't overload it like an armor section would and I know constructing your own stuff can seem daunting until you do it...I've been addicted since I've started making stuff.

I'm a fan of construction myself. I already have several stacks of mithril and perium ignots for later lvs xD. Since construction is something everyone can do I didn't feel the need to go into much detail on that part. I included some info about the rare stuff that would go well with the skill layout(s) covered in the guide. I need to look up more info about the rare daggers later >.>
Added a little about different stat builds in, will probably add to that section later as well.

Uhm.. Speaking of contsructing, how DO you construct? There are so many unexplained things in LUNA and i just don't know how to figure it out myself.
Another question if someone can answer:
What does Level Limit mean?
I have armour that tells me my "defense is not my class so it's not working currently" what does that mean?

You put metal into the construction window, make a mold and use the mold to make your wepon. Leather is used for armour.

You can't get your character past that level, the exp you gain isn't added onto your character.

Rogues can only use light and robe armour, any heavy armour you wear will removed defense you get from it. The bonus' still add onto you though.

Thanks soo much, that helps a lot. As for level limit.. I'm so sorry, but i still don't understand. There is level limit on clothing, so does that mean i won't be able to gain exp if i wear armour that is less or more than the level limit of the armour?

No no hehehe...lvl limit for armor means you have to be a certain lvl to wear a certain armor, it will say something along the lines of "Level Limit :50" That means you have to be lvl 50 before you can equip that armor, exp and the lvl associated with that armor has nothing in common so far from my experience...

Press S, click on Actions, click on the first ICON on the second row (to the far left) then drag something with the "construction available" icon into the bow, click on a constructable option to get a list of items required to make the item...=D

Re: Dagger Rogue Skill Guide
Not really, they only get 3 more attack skills and they aren't anything spectacular. Final blow is a decent strong single target (takes 35 SP to max at lv 3) and shadow spin is a decent AoE (takes 210 sp to max, probably best to leave at lv 10). The other skill death blow really isn't worth the SPs

I'm prolly super late, but theres nothing wrong being Elven Dagger, Nor is Dex a weakness. The difference between STR and Dex are...
STR does Way More Damage(Since its a Multiplier), and increases Accuracy HALF as much as Dex does.
However, Dex Raises Crit VERY Slightly(Little). Also Raises Accuracy Twice as much as Str. And Increases Evasion SLIGHTLY as well. But what I didn't know before, which I will say now.. Is that if your going Dagger Rogue with a shield(Your elven its your only Dagger route) Dex increases Blocking Chance as well as said by SuperSpecial in another Topic.
For Class, the difference between the two is... Human seems Damage Oriented and instant kill like, and easy to grind and level. While Elven Rogues(Dagger wise) will end up being slow Leveling from 45ish-75ish, And possibly A little faster leveling from 75ish-105ish. But in the end it will pay off. To understand what I am saying fully, check Human Vs. Elven Skill Calculator in my link list to see the stat difference between a Human Rogue and a Elven Rogue (Skill wise).
Than, check out the different skills in a Skill Calculator to see how they're skills are different. Lastly, if you want, check out my Elven Dagger Guide to check out the Play Style of an Elven Rogue and see if it suits your wanted play style.
-Sincerely,
-Alexander.

But it says his name >_>;. It's Like... What If I made the guide name "Sephiroth's Bow Guide" Than in really really small words like this small Credit to Shinichi,
Than, Say credit to shinichi(That what those itty bitty words say), how would you feel? Do you prefer having your name on the title, or having them somewhere in super fine 25 print below the guide where no one can see it

Well its better left alone with the name in the first para, than to have it altered and given the just adjustment I said above(Whereas the author name is given credit in very fine small words hidden from everyone in public).

I have been following your guide and liking it so far. I have one weird thing happen to me though. so I am level 15 and I still have to get Dusk Slashing to level 5 which will leave me with 11 sp at level 19. Your guide says I should have 21sp left over... super confused about what I did wrong.

Yeah unfortunately with games like this where one little thing can ruin a character, you kind of depend on build guides and such. Sure I could buy a skill reset... but I don't want to and I don't plan on doing any PVP so yeah.
