Bonic's Rogue to Assassin Guide

This guide is made purely for Pure Str Human Thief

Rogue -> Ruffian -> Thief -> Assassin
Theres alot of questions going with str or dex is better ? or pure str or pure dex or hybrid ?

Q : What is str for ?
A : Str increases skill damage, physical damage.

Q : What is dex for?
A : dex increases Strike which is accuracy, critical chance, and dodge.

Q : Why str over dex ?
A : Normally when u start to level you will use potions to increase your health so dodge is nothing much although you dodge alot but still your earnings can cover your potion fees. Str of course deal higher dmg, most of thief's skills are bleed for example Dusk Slashing, Wind Breaker. This 2 skills are the most important skills for Rogue class. If you miss monster or when your pvp you miss the opponent no fear,
the bleed effect is still working, eventhough the opponent dodges but it only dodges the initial damage of the skill not the effect and thief's skill chance of bleed is freaking high, Dusk Slashing max is 95% chance to bleed. Despite that your full dex you will still lost to a pure str thief due to accuracy is not a problem for them.

Q : Why Thief and not Scout ?
A : Thief is for 1v1 types and pvp built skills at early levels, scout is useful for pve content due to their buff and healing skill and cure poison. If your looking for pvp and pve choose Thief =) , in addition Thief is the best pvp melee class before 4th stage releases.

Introductions to PvP and Skill rotations in PvP
Normally people will scare to pvp Thiefs due to stealth and sudden combo. Sudden
has chance to deal damage and stuns the opponent for few seconds. So when u pvp please ask them do they want to fight you with stealth or no.

Skill rotation :
(Not Stealthed)
Rage Step -> Rapid Slashing -> Wind Breaker -> Perforate
Just keep repeating your opponent will be killed very fast.

(Stealthed)
Sudden -> Rage Step -> Rapid Slashing -> Wind Breaker -> Perforate

i would prefer u choose str since most ppl will be playing thief class and when thief vs thief its not a matter of hitting or not its the matter of who gets stunned first and bleed to death lol

i using pure str i aoe fine lol pure vit reduce abit of dmg but ur dmg output is low thats all it does work just abit of increasing and decreasing of something

Nice guide, very helpful. Just have a question about gear, so you would pretty much get all +STR gear and sets? Or you think it would be okay to get some DEX or would the buffs/passives be enough?

I never saw any high lvl pure str dagger rogue on the SG server.

Hmm would you say the same for a VIT rogue? DEX in dagger? Worth it to put STR into gloves? or where ever you can to get more phy attack?

I've seen pure dex rogue. They just use +str equipment all the time.

How did you get to lvl 70 on the official English server when mobs are only until lvl 60 ? After lvl 66, mobs give less than 50% of their EXP.

Luna's dagger rogue is almost similar to Ragnarok Online's Assasin.

You pump Dex max, and add Str into equipments.

It will be useless if you only have pure Dex, even if you crit 90% of the time, your crit damage will be low. You need a certain amount of Str to see its power.

Unless I make a dagger with +12 or +18 STR, depending on the level.
But now I'm torn between:
STR rogue with some DEX eq for the chance of crit
DEX rogue with STR eq for the same reason but with evasion and stuff like that
VIT rogue with STR eq and DEX buffs for a tanker with decent damage.
Hmm what to do. My main reason for rogue would be mostly farming.

Why not make a hybrid build? But not like 1:1 STR:DEX cuz that would just suck, Maybe like lots of str, some dex, or lots of dex, some str
